Canine Rehabilitation:
Rehabilitation Therapy is simply assisting in the process of restoring function. In the human world we do this in physical therapy using manual techniques, pain management, strengthening, and stabilizing. Canine Rehabilitation uses the techniques and principals of human physical therapy and applies them to dogs.
A Canine Rehabilitation Therapist can evaluate for orthopedic injuries, neurological dysfunction, chronic disorders, acute lameness, and aging issues such as arthritis. When a complete physical assessment is done, a plan of care involving a home exercise program (with the owner), as well as follow up treatments, is set into action.

Rehab is "reactive" to pain or dysfunction. At Canine Sports Medicine & Rehab
we want to be more "proactive"...
